How Coaching Can Support You
1. What is coaching?
Coaching is a process. It's a creative and thought-provoking partnership that helps you gain clarity around your personal or professional goals. Coaching isn't about fixing, changing, or improving you. It's about uncovering your strengths and expanding your possibilities.
2. What topics can be addressed in coaching?
Coaching can support you in any area where you're seeking growth or change, such as:
- Developing leadership skills
- Finding work-life balance
- Improving communication
- Building emotional resilience
- Strengthening confidence and self-worth
- Clarifying career direction
- Discovering more meaning, values, and fulfillment in life
3. Do I need to have a problem to start coaching?
No. Coaching isn't only for those who feel stuck. It's for anyone who wants to grow, gain clarity, or make a meaningful change in their life.
____
What to Expect in a Coaching Session
4. What happens in a coaching session?
You bring a topic that matters to you. I listen attentively, ask reflective questions, and guide your thinking process. Often, simply speaking your thoughts aloud brings new perspectives. Some insights come quickly, others unfold over time.
To help you move from insight to action, I use the GROW model:
- Goal: Define what you want to achieve
- Reality: Understand where you currently stand
- Options: Explore different paths and ideas
- Will: Commit to specific steps you'll take
Each session aims to offer clarity and tangible steps you can apply in your life right away.
5. Is coaching a one-time session or an ongoing process?
Coaching is a process that requires time and your active involvement. One session can spark valuable insights, yet deep and lasting growth comes from ongoing reflection and practice over multiple sessions.
6. Is success guaranteed?
No. Coaching provides space for development but doesn't promise specific results. Your commitment drives your progress.
____
Why Coaching Works
7. What makes coaching effective?
Coaching is powerful because the answers come from within you. You already hold the wisdom you need. The clearer your insights and ideas become, the more you'll trust and act on them.
Coaching helps you:
- Strengthen self-awareness
- Make conscious decisions
- Replace old habits with intentional behaviors
Sometimes, a single sentence can resonate for days and spark lasting change. You don't need to be fixed or changed. You just need space to truly hear yourself. That's where coaching begins.

8. Why is trust important in coaching?
Trust and rapport are essential. Only when you feel safe and supported can you fully open up. That’s why I offer an introductory session—to see if we’re a good match.
9. Who is responsible for the outcomes?
You are. I provide structure, questions, and reflection. You decide what you bring, what steps you take, and how you apply what you learn.
10. What ethical guidelines do you follow?
As a certified coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), I adhere to the ICF Code of Ethics, which ensures confidentiality, respect, and professionalism.

What Coaching Is Not
12. Is coaching the same as therapy?
Therapy focuses on healing emotional or psychological wounds, often rooted in the past. Coaching is forward-looking and goal-oriented. It's not a substitute for therapy.
13. What if I need emotional or psychological support?
Coaching isn't suited for treating trauma, depression, or mental illness. In such cases, professional therapy is necessary. Coaching may complement therapy but cannot replace it.
14. How is coaching different from mentoring or consulting?
- Mentoring: Shares experience and gives advice
- Consulting: Analyzes problems and offers solutions
- Coaching: Helps you find your own answers through reflection and perspective shifts
15. Can coaching be combined with therapy or mentoring?
Yes - as long as you're clear about the purpose of each and maintain open communication with everyone involved.
